Job Summary
Seeking an experienced X-Ray Tech with expertise in Radiology/Cardiology to work in various adult and pediatric care settings including acute care, outpatient, emergency department, ICU, NICU, operating room, and more.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- Epic experience required
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Oregon state license for Radiology Tech (ARRT R)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only
- ARRT R certification
- OBMI License
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred for ER/ICU settings
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred for NICU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) required for L&D, MBU, and NICU RNs (if applicable)
Skills & Work Settings
Proficient in imaging procedures for:
- Abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright)
- Chest and Thorax (AP, lateral, routine, upper airway)
- Head (orbits)
- Lower Extremity (ankle, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes, trauma cases)
- Mobile/Surgical procedures (C-Arm, O-ARM, portable abdomen/chest)
- Spine and Pelvis (cervical spine, hip, lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic spine)
- Upper Extremity (clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, wrist, trauma cases)
Experience with equipment such as GE, O-ARM, PACS, Philips, Siemens
Fluoroscopy studies including trauma cases
Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety
Orientation & Training
- Two unit orientations required, scheduled with facility
- Must be able to pick up badge Monday-Friday during business hours
- Completion of up to 8 hours of independent modules including Epic course/exam before starting work
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day
- Background check within 6 months of start, including education and work history verification
- National sex offender search and other standard background screenings required
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with methamphetamines listed, within 3 months prior to start
- Physical exam and fit mask testing required (fit mask within 1 year prior to start)
- Immunizations/vaccinations or signed declinations required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Flu seasonal vaccination (deadline 12/01/2025)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD, TSPOT, or QGOLD within 12 months, plus TB questionnaire
- Completion of facility-specific compliance modules and policies prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Application must include at least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position
- Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months required
- Must comply with facility professional appearance policy and coronavirus protocol attestation
- Candidates must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date
