Job Details

• Night shift in Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
• Cardiovascular (CV) experience is a plus
• EPIC electronic health record experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (permanent or compact)
• Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Intermediate Care or similar setting
• Cardiovascular experience preferred (not mandatory)
• EPIC experience required
• Years of experience not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year in specialty or as required by licensing standards

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS L3
• Employment application and work history verification required
• Two references from most recent contract (supervisors or charge nurses acceptable)
• Completion of unit-specific competency exams prior to start and annually thereafter, including:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (advanced EKG exam with measurements, 90% pass required)
  • Pass/fail testing on medication and EKG during orientation (two attempts allowed)
• Completion of annual mandatory training and safety acknowledgements
• Completion of various study guides and attestations related to medication administration, pediatric medication, EKG challenge, and facility-specific protocols
• Fit mask (N95) required prior to start; facial hair must comply with OSHA standards
• Compliance with facility-specific COVID-19 travel acknowledgements and confidentiality agreements
