Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (CRT)

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position for Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holidays
• NICU experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• License: Louisiana State Respiratory Therapist License (CRT or RRT)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CRT or RRT certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
• Preferred Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with background checks and verifications including:

  • Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Required health documents and immunizations including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required Oct 1 – March 31) or approved exemption/declination
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience not required

Notes

• Blue scrubs required
• Candidates must pass competency exams and maintain certifications as per facility policy
• Preferred experience in NICU setting
