Job Opportunity: Dosimetrist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Description

• Provide care to patients aged adolescent through geriatric receiving radiation therapy treatments.
• Must be familiar with physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources.
• Responsible for measuring and generating radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of an Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist.
• Required Certification: CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist).

Required Qualifications

• Valid professional license for Dosimetrist in California.
• CMD certification required.
• Background check including 7-year history, education verification, and various screenings (FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal required)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination series
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
• Competency exams as applicable (Medication/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG if applicable).
• Required certifications (verify with manager): ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others as applicable.
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN if applicable.
• Additional facility-specific documents and attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
