Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: El Paso, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule

  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • Start time between 6-8 AM depending on scheduled cases
  • End time between 5-6 PM on non-call days
  • On-call rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off (24/7 availability required)

Job Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year in Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, or Neuro Intervention
    • Must have prior experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology
    • Circulating experience required
    • Support STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, pacemaker insertions, Impella and balloon pump insertions
  • Certifications & Education:
    • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) required
    • ARRT certification preferred
    • CPR certification required
    • Associate degree in applied science from an accredited radiology or cardiovascular technology school required
  • Language:
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Additional:
    • First-time travelers accepted

Role Overview

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the catheterization laboratory
  • Support a diverse patient population across all age groups
  • Report to the Cath Lab supervisor and work under guidance of catheterization laboratory technologist

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Background check (7 years, including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, education verification)
  • Education verification (Associate degree acceptable for travel staff)
  • Primary source license verification
  • Drug screening (negative 10-panel within 30 days of start)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • TDAP or TD vaccine (or declination)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
    • Positive titers or vaccination/declination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with deadlines
  • Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit competency
  • Facility-specific onboarding modules and documentation (photo for badge, confidentiality agreements, safety training, etc.)

Certifications (AHA Only)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Certifications must not expire the same month as start date and must be renewed prior.
