Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 to 26 weeks preferred (contract length interpreted as 13 weeks)
• Shift Schedule:

  • 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
  • May include occasional weekend coverage and floating
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience; new graduates will be considered

Requirements and Certifications

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current and clear copy required)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
  • State License verification (primary source online verification)
  • National Tech Certification as applicable (note some states require state licenses for techs)

• Background Checks:

  • Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check (annual)
  • HHS/OIG check (annual)

• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)
  • General Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form required prior to start
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
  • Not required for non-clinical roles
