Therapy/Rehabilitation Travel/Contract Job in Pennsylvania (Lebanon Area)

Location & Schedule

• Location: Chambersburg, PA (near Lebanon, PA)
• Schedule Options:

  • 9-hour days, typically Sunday-Wednesday (35-37 hours/week)
  • OR 8-hour days, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (35 hours/week guaranteed)
• Weekends or holidays as needed (except facility holidays and 1st week of orientation)
• Traveler expected to work at least 1 major holiday during assignment

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum specialty experience: 1 year
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
• OASIS documentation abilities preferred but not required
• Could care for COVID patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Orientation & Onboarding

• 1st week orientation included
• Manager interview required after clinical screening
• Return to Office (RTO) max 7 days

Certifications & Competencies (as applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or ARC may be required depending on unit
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - as applicable
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - as applicable
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - as applicable
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - required for RNs except OR and Home Health
• Tech Cert Verification - National (as applicable)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (for RNs except OR and Home Health)
• State License verification (primary source online)
• NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• PA State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start, must be finalized prior to start (cannot start with results pending)
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within first 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required for all clinical assignments
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprints or Childline search results are pending at start

State & Facility Specific Requirements

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) required; candidate cannot start with results pending for this facility
• PA Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results required; candidate cannot start with results pending for this facility
• WellSpan VNA Residency Form required
• Copy of Auto Insurance required for candidates going to VNA
• Photo for badge: clear, passport-style photo with solid light-colored background, professional attire, no masks or face coverings
• WellSpan Health forms to review/sign: Commitment to Health & Wellness, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Non-Employee Affidavit
• WellSpan Health Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• WellSpan Health Modules (LMS) required for RNs and CNAs; must be completed on PC/laptop before start date
• New Hire Orientation required, to be completed by end of first day of orientation

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
• Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) required; declination form also required if applicable
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Flu vaccine required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine or medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel required within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only, not required by WellSpan)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance required within 1 year of start, renewed annually

References & Documentation

• 2 professional references required within 3 years of start
• Most recent resume or employment application required
• Annual skills checklist required
• Performance evaluations completed onsite by Unit Managers during assignment
