Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating weekends every 6 weeks, with 50% of holidays worked during the assignment
- Preferred Systems Experience: Siemens, McKesson, or GE
- Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center
- Required Experience: Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient, and Operating Room (OR) experience
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - mandatory
- AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists) - mandatory
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - preferred
- Specialty Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Essential Functions:
- Ability to work full term at assigned location
- Ability to work full shift hours
- Ability to take call
- Ability to work assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays
Required Credentials & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check within 60 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions checks within 60 days
- International background check if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
- Education Verification:
- Verification of degree as applicable to specialty within 1 year of start
- State Licensure:
- Missouri state license verification within 60 days of start (as applicable)
- Professional References:
- 2 professional references within the last 2 years required (for non-clinical roles)
- Employment History:
- Resume with minimum 7 years employment history, no gaps over 30 days, including education details
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required for certain specialties, preferred for this role
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - required for all RNs and many allied health professionals
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for ER, Pediatrics, PICU, and some respiratory therapists
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - required for L&D, NICU, Postpartum, Nursery RNs, and some respiratory therapists
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required for ER RNs starting 11/5/2024
- Chemotherapy Certification - required for Oncology roles (new requirement as of 3/28/2025)
- Other Allied Health Certifications - as applicable (e.g., ARRT for Radiology Techs, ASCP for Lab Techs)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, must be initiated within 48 hours of signing
- Fit Mask Test: Valid fit test within 1 year of start (exceptions apply)
- Immunizations & Testing:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or approved exemption
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Series or positive titer required; declinations not accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (10/01 - 03/31)
- Drug Testing: Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (new candidates only)
- Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements and caregiver screening forms
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment
