Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

Provide professional nursing services in treatment and care of assigned patients per physicians’ orders.
Assess patient condition, provide treatments, administer prescribed medications, and document progress.
Coordinate nursing care and participate in patient and family teaching.
Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members.
Position involves floating between Emergency Room (ER) and Medical/Surgical units.
Previous Critical Access Hospital experience is required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical Exam – Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap – Required for all travelers.
Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray – 2-step negative PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot within 1 year of start; updated annually. Past positive requires clear chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
Rubeola (Measles) – Titer or 2 vaccines; low titers require booster.
Mumps – Titer or 2 vaccines; low titers require booster.
Rubella – Titer or 2 vaccines; low titers require booster.
Hepatitis B – Titer, vaccine series, or declination.
Varicella – Titer or 2 vaccines; low titers require booster.
Drug Testing – 10 panel within 1 year of start; updated annually.
Seasonal Flu Vaccination/Documentation – Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted.
COVID-19 Vaccination – Full vaccination required; declinations not accepted unless approved exemption.

Background & Compliance Checks

7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start; updated annually. Must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks – Required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions.
State-specific exclusion list checks for Kansas and Missouri.
