PCU/Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Dededo, Guam
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• Night or day shifts; no shift preference can be requested
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• First-timers not accepted
• Travelers may float to Med-Surg and ED Tele overflow; if floated to ICU, they will not care for patients outside their scope of practice
• Ratio: 1:4-5
• Passport in hand required
• Travel partners accepted on a case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of specialty experience
• Compact or Guam RN licensure in hand at time of submittal
• ACLS
• BCLS
• Must be willing to complete required onsite testing during orientation
• Must be willing to complete required facility modules and training before start
• Must be willing to pick up additional shifts due to census as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of specialty experience

Assignment Details

• The unit is technically a tele unit, but the level of care is PCU
• The unit may also take ICU and PCU patients when needed
• Routine, uncomplicated cardiac procedures may be cared for, including non-cardiac thoracic surgery and nonurgent PCI with complications or suboptimal results

Additional Notes

• Locals in Guam are not accepted
• Pending license is not accepted
• RTO must be approved before start and cannot be added after the contract begins
• Guaranteed hours are contracted hours; client may cancel 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Flights are not reimbursed
• Travelers should not book return flights until the contract is complete
• Candidates should plan to arrive by Thursday before start at the latest
• Housing is not mentioned
