Unit

Medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
Focuses on patients with vascular disease diagnoses
12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms
Maximum census of 16 patients
Admissions may include medical-surgical and telemetry overflow
Patient population ranges from young adulthood through geriatrics

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
State license verification
NURSYS verification for RN
7-year background check

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit test within 1 year of start
Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
TB questionnaire within 90 days of start for positive TB results
