2S Med Rehab RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charleston, West Virginia.
• 24-bed unit.
• Shift: 3x12 hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Float as needed within scope.
• First-timers accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in West Virginia.
• 1 year of rehabilitation experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Must be willing to receive the flu shot unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
• Tdap vaccination required.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required.
• Drug screen required within 30 days of start.
• 1 reference required from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse from a facility worked within 1 year of start.
• Annual specialty skills checklist required.
• Must complete required nursing testing and competency requirements before start.

Preferred

• Acute care rehab.
• Charge experience.

Unit Details

• Patient population includes cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, and neurological diseases.
• Typical length of stay is around 2 weeks.
• Therapy works with patients 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Additional Notes

• No call requirement.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week options.
• Cerner charting.
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White or combination.
• Parking garage is free for travelers.
