Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:

• Evaluating patients' functions through formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
• Developing goal-specific treatment regimes based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
• Submitting written treatment regimes as part of the treatment plan authorized by the physician and updating the plan of care as needed.
• Creating a treatment schedule that is frequency and duration specific, in coordination with patients, families, and clinical support staff.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment alternatives, and prognosis.
• Supervising Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students in accordance with affiliate and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Uniform or dress/casual clothes (no jeans).
• Coverage Area: 6 counties, typically one county per OT.
• Mileage: Reimbursement at IRS standard; daily mileage ranges from 25-100 miles.
