Overview
- Temp assignment in Des Moines, Iowa
- 13-week contract
- Days, 12-hour shifts
- Unit has 15 beds and serves all types of med surg patients
- Patient ratio is 4-5:1
- Tele tech unit monitoring is remote
- Traveler will float across all campuses
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with heparin drips
- Experience in Charge roles
- Driver's License
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred
- Skills in telemetry/cardiac background
- Precept experience
- Professional reference from within the last 24 months
- Willingness to extend past the initial 13 weeks
Additional Notes
- Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years
- No locals accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Past employees of UPH who were FTE or PRN for the float pool are not eligible to work travel in another market
- Scrubs: Navy blue, solids
