Temp Med Tech/Med Lab Tech assignment in Laboratory on afternoons.

Location

Petoskey, Michigan

Contract Length

13 weeks

Shift

Afternoons, 10 hours per day

Required Qualifications

Medical Lab Technician (2 years of experience)
Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
ASCP
Recent blood bank experience

Responsibilities

Performs routine laboratory procedures using standardized methodology and laboratory equipment.
Maintains quality results through standards, controls, equipment checks, and quality control troubleshooting.
Provides test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Maintains laboratory supplies inventory.
Analyzes blood cells using microscopic techniques.
Prepares blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions through blood group, type, and compatibility testing.
Calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and evaluates laboratory equipment and techniques.
Prepares reports of technological findings.
