Job Description

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Chief Radiologist.
• Ensure patient care and safety during radiographic procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Manage supplies related to radiology services.
• Work within a department that provides diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, interventional radiography, MRI, bone density, and mammography services.
• Provide services 24/7 to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients of all ages.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of recent experience in all areas of Radiologic Technology in a hospital setting.
• Graduate of a formal AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Flu vaccination required.
• Resume must list all departments worked.
• Skills checklist specific to Radiologic Technology discipline.
• Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.

• The position is located in a very rural area with limited housing and public transportation options. Candidates should plan accordingly.
• The radiology department emphasizes quality control, radiation safety, quality assurance, marketing, and continuing education.
• On-call, overtime, holiday, and callback pay policies apply.
• Locals within 50 miles are accepted.

Summary

This is a temporary technologist position requiring at least 1 year of recent hospital radiologic technology experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and flu vaccination. The role involves performing a wide range of radiologic procedures in a rural hospital setting with 24/7 service coverage. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
