Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Days)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work schedule: Days, 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates throughout the year.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required; Iowa license available as an option.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience managing chest tubes, femostats, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines.
• Familiarity with medication titration including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must not have been employed by this health system within the last 12 months.
• Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Submission Requirements

• Work history/resume.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• License verification.
• Copies of required certifications.
• One supervisory reference at time of submission.

Additional Information

• The position is based at a Level 1 trauma center.
• Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Call back pay applies with a minimum 2-hour call back.
• Charge nurse and preceptor pay available.

Shift Details

• Day shift.
