Registered Respiratory Therapist

Overview

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

Provides evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Responsibilities include assessing patients, implementing and monitoring care plans and equipment, communicating patient condition, performing advanced respiratory care modalities, educating patients and families, and responding to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP Advanced
High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an associate's degree or technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Notes

Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
