Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician (Xray Tech)

Location: Elk Grove Village, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM weeknights
• Every other weekend: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Maximum 3 call days per month

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Professional Credentials:

  • Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Ascension Resume/Profile
  • Signed Assignment Agreement (required for onboarding)
  • At least two professional references prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others completed within 30 days of assignment start
  • Employment verification for the past 7 years
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) with minimum 80% score, updated yearly
  • Ascension Biometric Consent
  • Ascension Non-Nursing Contingent Worker Pre-Hire Modules/Attestation (Illinois)
  • Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical, updated annually)
  • Ascension EPLS (Exclusionary Party List System) check within 90 days of start
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (initial and updates upon extension)
  • Ascension Badge Photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background)

• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)

• Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and must match address on file)

• Personal Health Requirements:

  • MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted but mask required
  • Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start (specific mask types required)
  • TB Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and updated annually; includes testing for 12 specified substances
