Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Department Evenings

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend plus holidays
Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification

Onboarding and Competency Requirements

Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with a minimum passing score of 80% (two attempts allowed)
Annual skills checklist specific to Emergency Room specialty
EKG exam with a passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI), 8-hour course, updated every 2 years
NIH certification updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group
Completion of onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding modules
Pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip training
Submission of a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no filters or alterations)

Documentation Required for Submission

Resume or professional profile
Two professional references prior to first assignment
Driver’s license or state ID (valid, not expired, matching address requirements)
License/certificate primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
Employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually

Additional Notes

Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of start
Hiring manager evaluation and legal name change documentation are optional post-assignment items
