Job Opportunity: X-Ray Technologist (Travel)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work as a surgical X-ray technologist within a radiology team (4-7 members when fully staffed)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Required to work 2 weekends per month
• On-call 2-3 days per month
• Must have experience with surgery and C-arm equipment

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS (American Heart Association) - mandatory before onboarding
• Current state license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year and updated yearly (minimum 80% score)
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
• Ascension Badge Photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background)
• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred before start, updated annually
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted but mask required
• Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and TB questionnaire (updated annually)
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Driver’s License/State ID: Must be valid and match address requirements
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA test within required timeframes
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation on agency letterhead
• Employment Verification (third-party) for past 7 years, updated annually
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment

Additional Information

• Flu season mask policy applies for October 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025
• Post-assignment surveys and evaluations may be required
• Some onboarding forms and attestations must be uploaded by the agency or completed onsite
