Job Description

• Position in Labor and Delivery nursing specialty
• Day shift hours: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Labor and Delivery experience with a minimum of 2 years
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Onboarding and Testing Requirements

• Completion of Cerner Test-Out assessment prior to start
• Pharmacology exam (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts), updated every 3 years
• Specialty exam in Labor and Delivery (minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score), updated every 3 years
• EKG exam (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts), updated every 3 years
• Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% score), updated every 3 years
• Skills checklist for specialty, completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Unit-specific checklist (optional for onboarding)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or documented history (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccine valid within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing required
• 2-step PPD or IGRA testing with negative chest X-ray if positive, plus annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start, updated annually
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Documentation and Verification Required Prior to Submission or Start

• Professional resume/profile
• At least two professional references
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days of start
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
• Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
• Employment verification for past seven years
• Signed assignment agreement (offer letter, initial confirmation, and extensions)
• Biometric consent (required for Illinois positions)
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
• Confirmation of assignment documentation on agency letterhead with accurate start/end dates

Additional Notes

• Some onboarding requirements are completed onsite
• Certain documents and attestations must be uploaded by the agency or unit leader
• Extensions require updated testing and documentation as specified
