Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

• Current critical care experience required or experience in critical care within the last 12 months
• Ability to manage a heavy workload
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles if needed
• Prior travel experience preferred (not required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Required Credentials and Documentation

• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references
• Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and address must match licensing requirements)
• Background check including criminal history and employment verification
• Completion of core competencies and specialty skills checklist relevant to respiratory therapy
• Health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines or immunity verification, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season or mask requirement if declined
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA) and chest X-ray if positive
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (specific mask types required)
  • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment and annually thereafter
• Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Specialty exam demonstrating competency in respiratory therapy prior to first assignment and every 3 years thereafter
• Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years thereafter
• Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Information

• Onboarding includes completion of respiratory therapy contract worker education and attestation
• Core competencies cover HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory topics
• Some documentation and forms are completed onsite at assignment start
