Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Details

• Shift: 9-hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call Schedule:

  • 7 days on call (Monday through Sunday), followed by 7 days off call
  • Call hours: Monday-Friday = 14.5 hours, Saturday-Sunday = 24 hours
  • Weekends: on call every other weekend based on current needs
  • Holidays: at least one holiday on call if it falls within the contract period
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
• Experience with Interventional Radiology and EPIC system required

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Radiographer License
• BLS certification (must be American Heart Association certified)
• ARRT certification preferred
• Prior Interventional Radiology experience required
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (updated every 3 years)
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must match requirements)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Tuberculosis screening:

  • 2-step PPD or IGRA test within required timeframes
  • If positive, negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite)
• Annual health statement or physical exam

Background and Verification

• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start
• Employment verification for the past seven years
• Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Professional references: at least two required prior to first assignment

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of medical imaging contract worker onboarding and education attestation
• Skills checklist for specialty completed within one year and updated annually
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in Interventional Radiology Technician specialty (based on highest requirement found)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
