RN Surgery

Overview

• Location: West Burlington, Iowa
• Employment type: LTA
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 06:30 - 17:00
• Schedule: 30 hours week one and 40 hours week two, for 70 hours in a two-week scheduling period
• Call: Approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period; 30-minute response time
• Additional call hours required

Role Summary

Intra-operative RN Surgery role providing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Duties include circulating procedures, instrumentation, assisting surgeon and/or anesthesia providers, first assisting, patient education, and resource nurse support.

Surgical Areas

ENT, General, Orthopedics including Spine, Podiatry, Dental/Oral surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology including c-sections, Vascular, and Bariatric.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic
