Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Technician
Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 07:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Description
- Prepare and plan endoscopy equipment and assist in patient preparation and positioning.
- Support physicians during procedures such as biopsy, counter traction, polypectomy, and other therapies.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of endoscopy procedures by anticipating needs and preparing equipment in advance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, with experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Additional Notes
- Positive TB skin test requires documentation of a negative chest X-ray after the positive test.
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for fit testing.
- Fit testing updates can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended.
- Name change documentation may be required if credential names do not match legal name.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement for this position.
