Certified Surgical Technician - Nantucket, Massachusetts

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: 40 hours/week, day shift with rotating on-call

Requirements

Certifications & Licenses

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Professional license/certification primary source verification required (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)

Training & Checklists

• FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed prior to onboarding; no exceptions)
• Skills checklist required for submission
• Candidate submission coversheet required for submission

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break
• Social Security Number trace with criminal check
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually
• Education verification of highest level achieved (except CNA)
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience (with city & state) required for submission
• Two recent references required for submission (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)

Health & Immunization

• Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date and updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required
• Color vision test within 365 days of start
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity required
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start and updated if >6 month break
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start and updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B vaccine or immunity strongly preferred (optional)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred (optional)
• If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required (optional)
• TB symptom survey if positive PPD (optional)

Additional Information

• Shared housing provided at no cost for travelers on assignment
• Must complete and upload all required documentation prior to onboarding
• Assignment governed by specific housing and compliance agreements upon hire
