RN Interventional Radiology - Days

Location: Traverse City, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in interventional radiology with critical care and sedation experience.
• Manage multiple titrable drips while monitoring patients during angiography and neuro procedures.
• Responsibilities include prepping and recovery: starting IVs, performing blood draws, monitoring post-sedation patients, completing flowsheets, reviewing medications, and providing discharge instructions.
• Work schedule: Day shifts, 4 nine-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM), totaling 36 hours/week.
• No weekend shifts required.
• One holiday off depending on contract length.
• On-call duty: 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 4th or 5th week depending on staffing.
• Hospital-provided scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Critical care experience.
• Sedation experience.
• Experience managing multiple titratable drips while monitoring patients during angiography and neuro procedures.

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of immunizations or positive titers for MMR, Varicella.
• Negative TB test within last 6 months or appropriate follow-up if positive.
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30), with approved medical or religious exemptions.
• Fit for duty health statement completed within 1 year of start.
• Drug screen results within 90 days prior to start.
• Driver’s license or state ID.
• Social Security card (upload within 24 hours of offer acceptance).
• Core competency exams including OSHA & Joint Commission.
• Skill-specific competencies and self-assessment checklists.
• Criminal background check (7-year national, including aliases and sex offender database) within 90 days.
• Employment and education verifications (minimum 2 employers over 2 years).
• OIG, OFAC, and National Sex Offender searches within 90 days.
• Completed I-9 attestation.
• Emergency contact form.
• Color vision exam compliant with Ishihara test.
• Parking form completion required for system access.

Additional Notes

• Must complete all onboarding documentation and verifications promptly to ensure timely start.
• No weekend shifts required, but on-call coverage includes some nights and occasional weekends.
• This role requires strong critical care skills in a fast-paced interventional radiology environment.
