Radiology Technician (IR Tech) - Traverse City, Michigan

Position Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (5 eight-hour shifts per week)
• Weekend Requirement: No weekend shifts
• Holidays: 1 holiday off depending on contract length
• On-Call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 3rd to 5th weekend depending on staffing

Job Description

• Perform interventional radiology procedures with experience in angiography and neuro procedures
• Assist providers during procedures and prepare sterile fluids
• Experience with Siemens Biplane imaging equipment is helpful
• Hospital provides scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiology program
• Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must pass Ishihara Compliant Color Vision Exam

Required Onboarding Documentation and Compliance

• Proof of immunizations or positive titers for MMR and Varicella (proof of history not accepted)
• Negative TB test within last 6 months (T-spot, QuantiFERON, or 2-step skin test) or appropriate follow-up if positive
• Fit for Duty health statement completed within 1 year of start date
• Drug screen results within 90 days prior to start
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Social Security Card (upload within 24 hours of offer acceptance)
• Completion of Core Competency Exam (OSHA & JC) at time of hire
• Completion of skill-specific competencies and self-assessment skills checklist
• Background checks and verifications within 90 days prior to start, including:

  • 7-year national criminal background check with all aliases, sex offender database, and FACIS Level 3
  • Education and employment verifications (minimum 2 employers spanning at least 2 years)
  • OIG, OFAC, and National Sex Offender searches
• Completed I-9 attestation and emergency contact form
• Signed healthcare system agreement within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Parking form completion required for system access (if renting a car, notify agency prior to start)

Additional Notes

• Influenza vaccine required from November 1 through April 30 with no declinations accepted; medical or religious exemptions allowed with agency-approved documentation
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position
