Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Every third weekend
Patient Care Level: ICU critical care

Required Certifications & Licenses

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Illinois
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start

Required Experience

Specialty: ICU nursing
Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard ICU RN experience expected (typically 1+ years ICU experience recommended)

Health & Safety Requirements

Fit test for respiratory protection required
10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (includes specific substances; no THC)

Pros

Some of the staff are nice and helpful. Pretty big department.

Cons

Assignments can be heavy, got told I would be Neo/Peds, but I get floated everywhere (adults floors/ICU). Have to pay to park ($2/day) in further garage or $5 in closer garage. And the worst is 8hr assignments!
