Registered Nurse - Telemetry I (Night Shift)

Location: San Dimas, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 26 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

Job Summary

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care within the RN scope of practice on a telemetry unit.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
• COVID-19 vaccine booster is preferred but declination is accepted if completed.
• Color-blind test must be completed annually.
• Some onboarding documents and attestations must be completed after all credentials are uploaded.
• Facility-specific badge photo may be requested prior to clearance.

Contract Length

• Approximately 26 weeks (long-term assignment).
