Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)

Location: Lewisville, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 (Variable shifts)
Call: On call required

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN for Day Surgery (PACU) unit with a focus on cardiovascular surgery. The role involves preparing patients for surgery and providing perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, including within the last year
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
• Day Surgery experience
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Experience working with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations

Work Environment & Unit Details

• Unit: Day Surgery (PACU) located on 1st floor
• Floating as needed
• Dress code: Facility provides scrubs; clean and healthy nails (no artificial or gel nails); neat, clean hair (pulled back if shoulder length or longer); covered tattoos when possible; visible piercings limited to ears only
• Attendance and floating policies in place

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Patient care includes medical/surgical, cardiovascular, oncology, orthopedics, neuroscience, and bariatric services
