Unit and Facility Information

• Critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Emergency Department (ED), Trauma Level 3
• Patient population: all ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
• Patient ratio approximately 1:2.5
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (flex position)
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Job Responsibilities and Skills

• Provide emergency nursing care for all ages and a wide range of illnesses and injuries
• Triage skills required
• Work as one of only two RNs in the department, requiring a high skill level
• Care for patients in a rural area, the only hospital within 40 miles of a trauma center

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP
