Overview
- Travel assignment in Austin, Texas
- 13 weeks
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Telemetry
- No call required
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Weekends: 4 shifts per schedule
Unit
- Neuro medical/surgical unit
- 30 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Main building, 5 Central
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- NIHSS
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
Unit Details
- Typical procedures: Stroke NIH, EEGs, gastric decompression, wound care
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn Vital sign, COWs, Hoyer lift, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Hoop nose piercings not allowed
