RN Telemetry Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekly hours: 36 or 48, as selected on the submission form
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• 1 opening
• Auto-offer position
• Weekend coverage as required by the facility
• No call required
• Floating required on a rotational basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Driver's License
• Experience and competence in drug titration
• NIHSS certification before start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for travelers from November 1 through April 1

Unit Details

• Medical telemetry unit
• 32 beds
• Patient ratios vary by shift
• Common patient population includes medical, med tele, and respiratory patients
• Uses telemetry equipment, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps

Work Environment

• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
• High physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting, turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
• Scrubs must be black

Additional Notes

• Block scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
• Requested time off must be made up later, and time off is not approved during the first week
• Only one holiday request off may be made per assignment
