Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Patient Population / Clinical Setting

• ED patients including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, and behavioral health

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty

Orientation / Onboarding

• New hires attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member
• Initial onboarding includes organizational entry competency validation and an Emergency Department-specific competency validation
• Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation
• Annual competency verification is required
