Unit: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) / Telemetry (Tele)
Trauma Level: III
Facility size: 167 beds
Patient population: All ages
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
Medication dispensing system: Omnicell
Float requirements: May float to similar med/surg units as needed
Shift details: 36 guaranteed hours per week
Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call requirements: As needed

Required Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse license valid in Tennessee
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale certification

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

Must be at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start
Professional demeanor required
Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable

Orientation

Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays

This position offers the opportunity to provide quality healthcare in a fully accredited Level III Trauma Center serving the Gallatin and surrounding areas.
