Registered Nurse - OB/GYN Travel Position

Location: Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery, including pre-transition newborn care.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Unit has 6 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring moms and couplet care.
• Electronic Health Records used: CPM and MEDHOST.
• Weekend hours every other week or as needed; call as needed.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Float requirements as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year.
• Experience working with neonate patients, including nursery care.
• OB/GYN experience.
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry before assignment start.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous experience specifically in OB, labor & delivery, and newborn nursery care.
• Knowledge of intrapartum and postpartum care.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Work Environment & Additional Details

• Facility is an acute care hospital with a 99-bed capacity.
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
• Dress code: facility-approved scrubs; non-facility attire is not allowed.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift details to be provided; 36 hours per week guaranteed.
• Weekend and call coverage as described above.
