Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 16 beds, providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.
High acuity environment requiring professional competency and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
Focus on patient comfort, safety, and a pleasant experience.

Work Schedule & Requirements

36 or 48 hours per week accepted; guaranteed 36 hours.
Every other weekend required.
Holidays as required by the facility.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Solid navy scrub colors/dress code.
Parking available.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty within the last year.
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing, clinical position.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
