Unit Information

Number of Beds: 25
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 free charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 2 patient care technicians (PCTs), 5 RNs
- Night Shift: 5 RNs, 1 PCT
Patient Ratios: Typically 6:1, sometimes 5:1
Equipment Used: Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, SCD pumps
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Certifications and Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in the RN specialty
Prior travel experience not required

Preferred Skills

Experience with Meditech EMR
Telemetry experience
Ability to manage:
- Chest tubes
- Non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Weight-based heparin drips

Additional Information

Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs required
The unit is well-staffed with experienced personnel and uses advanced equipment
Competitive market; unit encourages applicants with telemetry and Meditech experience
