Position Details

- Unit: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (HVIU/D200)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days and nights)
- Staffing: Charge nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), monitor tech available
- Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
- Documentation System: Allscripts
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required
- Floating Policy: Float to like units
Required Skills & Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac Telemetry)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Clinical Knowledge:
- Telemetry monitoring
- Care of patients post-TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device, cardiac drips
- Advanced Skills:
- Experience with TAVR, ablations, Watchman procedures, STEMI, pacemakers, CardioMEMS
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Required uniform (unit-specific)
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Patient Experience: Emphasis on quality care in a cardiac-focused telemetry unit
