Unit Information

• Unit: Respiratory
• Beds: Medical-Surgical (30), Transitional Care Unit (8), Emergency Department (12)
• Staffing: Dayshift 1-2 therapists, Nightshift 1 therapist
• Equipment: V60 (BiPAP), GE 860 ventilators, Vapotherms, Comfort Flows, Aervo
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts including rotating weekends
• Patient Care Focus: Emergency care, critical care, intubations, access/treatment

Required Certifications and Licenses

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Skills and Responsibilities

• Critical care and ventilator management
• Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) procedure and analysis
• Participation in Rapid Response and Code Blue teams, including intubations as needed
• Ability to work independently and develop patient care plans based on diagnostic results and protocols
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
• Perform daily treatments and assessments on the unit
