Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes – to PTCA (only CVICU patients) or other ICU units
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, Kentucky Nursing License
- Years of Experience Required: 2+ years in CVICU (highest requirement)
- Number of Openings: 1
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 17
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Equipment: CRRT (Prismax), IABP, Impella, ECMO, VADs
- EMR System: Cerner
Required Skills and Experience
- CVICU experience
- Open heart recovery experience within 24 hours
- Hemodynamic monitoring experience (Swan-Ganz catheter)
Preferred Skills

- Heart and lung transplant experience
Patient Population
- Cardiac patients on a high acuity floor
