Position Details

Unit Information

Unit Name: 2 North - Oncology
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
Staffing: 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT) per shift, 1 Unit Secretary during day shift
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend days per contract (weekend nights are Saturday and Sunday)
Floating Policy: As needed
Patient Experience Initiatives: Whiteboards, Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounds, Key Words

Required Skills and Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Oncology/Medical-Surgical background preferred)
Certifications: BLS required
Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
Advanced Skills: Not required
Procedures Performed: Chemotherapy administration

Additional Information

Dress Code: Navy Blue uniform
Communication Tools: Use of iMobile phones for communication with staff, physicians, and patients
Unit Highlights: Dedicated Education Unit, recognized for most improved patient experience
