Position Details

• Specialty: Pharmacist

• Location: Panama City, FL
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
• Shift: Mixed shifts from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend Schedule: Rotating weekends (every other weekend)

Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute care hospital with 282 beds
• Pharmacy unit equipped with:

  • Pyxis MedStation ES
  • Pyxis Anesthesia Station ES
  • BD Pyxis CII Safe
  • PakEdge
  • DoseEdge (IV Workflow Management)
  • RxMS Scanner (SMART)
  • iMobile (iPhone)
  • Codonics
• Documentation systems: Meditech, Pharmacy Stars (Compounding 360), DoseEdge
• Technicians transitioning to a 12-hour shift model (starting 8/24/25), working three 12-hour shifts per week and every third weekend

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Must have a valid Florida Pharmacist License
• Hospital experience required
• Experience with neonatal and pediatric IV preparation (Peds/NICU IV experience)
• Advanced sterile compounding skills required
• Competency in sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous drug compounding
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required

Dress Code

• Pewter scrubs
• Closed-toed shoes

Additional Notes

• The hospital features the area’s only designated Pediatric ER, a four-bed Pediatric ICU, and a 28-bed NICU
• The hospital is recognized for quality care in heart failure, heart attack, pneumonia, surgical care, perinatal care, stroke, wound care, and cancer programs
• The pharmacy team uses advanced technology and workflow management systems to support patient care
