Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Tele/Cardiac Step-down
• Education: Licensure/Certification needed to work as an RN in Pennsylvania

Skills and Competencies

• Must Have Skills/Experience:

  • Telemetry and Cardiac Step-down experience
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Intermediate Cardiac Care
  • Bedside and Telemetry monitoring
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Pulmonary Edema, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Arrhythmias, Chest Pain, Post-operative care for Carotid Endarterectomy and Stents, Post Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), Post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Interventional Cardiac Catheterization with Arterial Lines, IV Infusion

• Background Checks:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
  • FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if applicable)
  • PATCH—PA State Police Clearance
