Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work primarily on a Trauma Surgical Unit caring for acute care trauma and surgical patients.
Patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
Care includes trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients.
Collaborate with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and various surgical specialists.
Provide individualized patient care for those hospitalized for illness, surgery, or observation.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Work schedule options include 36 or 48 hours per week.
Required to work holidays as needed and every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing clinical position.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Parking is available.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
