Job Opportunity: Xray Tech (Rad Tech)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Department: Radiology - General X-Ray
• Shift: 24/7 coverage, no self-scheduling; routine shift template
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Yes
• Call/Standby: As needed per contract, with response time required
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation including equipment overview, tour, and Epic setup; scheduled Fri-Sun 7p-7:30a with call

Certifications & Experience Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (AHA)
• Specialty Experience: Ability to cover OR procedures with c-arms; Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (no explicit requirement)

Job Responsibilities & Environment

• Cover Emergency Department, inpatient, orthopedic, and spine imaging in the OR
• Average 20-30 scans/studies per day
• No floating or covering other areas required
• No IV starts required

Equipment & Systems

• Imaging Equipment: GE C-arms, Carestream and Shimadzu portables, GE/Fuji general radiology rooms
• PACS/EMR Systems: Epic, Fuji PACS
• Number of scanners/rooms: 3 general, 2 fluoroscopy, 6 portable, 9 C-arms

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Hospital provided (blue)
• Radiologist coverage: In-house during daytime; remote at night
• Use of PAs (Physician Assistants) in department; no Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)

This position is ideal for an experienced Xray Tech comfortable with trauma-level cases and OR imaging using c-arms, seeking a 13-week contract in Colorado with a structured schedule and comprehensive orientation.
