Job Details

  • Specialty: Echo Tech (ARDMS-RDCS, CCI-RCS)
  • Location: Yuma, Arizona
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x10 hour shifts
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirements: Up to 2 of the 3 winter/summer holidays
  • Call Requirement: 5 PM - 7 PM call if pediatric experience; no call if no pediatric experience
  • Orientation: 1 day New Employee Orientation, 2 days floor orientation

Experience & Certifications

  • Required Specialty Experience: 2 years (higher value confirmed)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications Required:
    • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
    • Specialty Certifications: ARDMS-RDCS, CCI-RCS
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Department & Work Environment

  • Department: Echocardiography
  • Number of Scanners/Rooms: 5 (Phillips EPIC CVX)
  • Common Imaging Types:
    • ECHO-3D
    • Pediatric echo preferred but not required
    • NICU preferred but not required
    • Inpatient and outpatient studies
    • CVOR special procedures (Watchman, TAVR, TEE)
  • Average Studies per Day: 8-10 outpatient; as needed inpatient
  • EMR/PACS Systems: EPIC, Phillips Intellispace Cardiovascular
  • Supervision: Charge Echo Tech on each shift
  • Radiology Assistants (RRAs): Not used
  • Cardiology Support: In-house real-time stat reads; Phoenix Children’s for pediatric stat reads
  • IV Starts: RN starts IVs for bubble test and assists with Definity test
  • Floating: No floating or coverage of other areas

Additional Notes

  • Start dates are not flexible
  • Radius rule: 100 miles
  • Scrub color: Hunter Green
