Schedule

• Day/night rotation
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Holidays are worked per schedule

Unit Details

• ICU with 5 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
• Charge nurse: none
• Nurse aides: as needed
• Tele/monitor techs: yes
• Hospitalist in house
• Respiratory therapy coverage: RT leaves at 6 pm and is on call with a 10-minute response
• Pharmacy coverage: in house until 10 pm, then remote
• Floating: Med Surg
• Floor orientation: 1–2 shifts

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Clinical Experience / Patient Population

• ICU care
• Stroke patients
• STEMI and non-STEMI patients
• TPN administration

Equipment / Drips

• Drips used: Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, vasopressors
• Ventilator: Hamilton C-1

• Scrub color: Royal Blue for RN, Steel Gray for CNA
